Notre Dame Housing Receives 2015 Grant for Strategic Planning
The Gary and Mary West Foundation of Carlsbad, California awarded a $10,000 grant to Notre Dame Housing that will support efforts in the development of a revised strategic plan. Major goals for the plan’s design include capacity building for Notre Dame Housing services, planning for facility improvements and programing, training for the board of directors, fortifying organizational fundraising, and updating marketing efforts. The process will include representatives of the Notre Dame Sisters, board members, staff, and community members.
The Notre Dame Sisters established Notre Dame Housing in 1996 to provide services to the residents of Seven Oaks at Notre Dame, an affordable living community for seniors. Notre Dame Housing strives to provide resident services which go beyond a safe and affordable living experience. Services include programs which encourage growth of body, mind, and spirit in an atmosphere of respect, love, and independence.
The funding priorities of the Gary and Mary West Foundation include seeking to improve the lives of low-income seniors by addressing their needs and enabling them to maintain health and wellness for as long as possible. A grant award to Notre Dame Housing ensures the missions of the Notre Dame Sisters and the Gary and Mary West Foundation will be promoted. Notre Dame Housing is grateful for this support benefiting the present and future residents of Seven Oaks at Notre Dame. Support for Notre Dame Housing, a sponsored ministry of the Notre Dame Sisters, by the Gary and Mary West Foundation dates back to 2008.
